Classes Offered
ballet
This formal style of ballet is known for precise, flowing movements, rigorous technique, and aesthetic. Our teachers use a combination of Russian and Cecchetti methods for our ballet training.
Boys' Ballet
Our men’s ballet training is specifically designed to target the needs of the male ballet dancer. Taught by our Ballet Master, Tommy F. Robbins.
Modern Dance
Rejecting the precision of classical ballet dancing, our modern dance focuses on the dancer’s own interpretation of movement. We take inspiration from modern greats like Horton and Graham while priding ourselves on our own unique style.
Jazz Dance
Modern jazz dance is a fast-paced dance style that combines ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop with African-infused dance styles. From Gus Giordano to Caribbean traditional dance, our jazz classes are a fusion of dance styles from African American vernacular dance.
Tap Dance
Tap dance is utilizes the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of synchronized percussion. At Dance by Sheila, we utilize methods from the Al Gilbert and Lea Darwin techniques, with a touch of stomp.
Hip-Hop Dance
Our hip-hop dance offers a variety of styles. At Dance by Sheila, the primary focus of our hip-hop class is to allow dancers to build self-confidence, self-expression, and teamwork.

This invitation-only class was designed for seasoned dancers who would like exposure to a variety of dance styles. Classes rotate weekly between Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Musical Theatre.
